Description

A caseback gasket is a wear item, not a forever part. If your SKX caseback hasn’t been opened in a decade, the seal inside has flattened and dried out — and at that point the 200M water resistance printed on the caseback is only a rumor.

This is the OEM-spec replacement: a black rubber caseback gasket with a water-resistant design, tested to 300M during development. Excellent-quality replacement stock, sold as a single gasket or a 5-pack that saves you $3 — worth it if you service more than one watch a year.

Fitment: Seiko 200M SKX007, SKX009, SKX011, SKX013, SKX171, SKX173, SKX175, SKX401K, SKXA35; new Prospex Turtles SRP773, SRP775, SRP777, SRP779, SRP787, SRP789, SRPC44, SRPC23K1, SRPC25K1, SRPC49K1, PADI versions SRPA21, SUN065, and Blue Lagoon SRPB09, SRPB11; and Samurai models SRPB09, SRPB49, SRPB51, SRPB53, SRPB55, SRPB99, SRPC93, SRPD03.

Lightly grease the gasket on installation and keep a spare in the parts box — a fresh seal costs next to nothing compared to a fogged dial.
