The Date Position and Country Code 

Depending on the factory where it’s made, the N35A has the date at either 3:00 or 6:00, but the former date version is the most common in the market. 

To find out which date position your movement has, point the crown to the right. You must then figure out the number that reads from the left portion to the right—does it lead to 3:00 or 6:00? This will allow you to know how the dates are made on the date wheel, but keep in mind that it can be a little different. 

The country code, on the other hand, is part of the reference number. This is what indicates the origin of production. J is for Japan, while M is for Malaysia, respectively.

Hand Fitting Type

The hand fitting for NH35A movements can be made for the M or L hand types. The hand fitting type affects the total height of the movement from the bottom to the top of the second hand’s pinion. 

For the NH35A, the thickness is measured at 5.32mm, but it can go up to 7.6mm for the Type M to 8mm for the Type L, respectively.
